Sealing joints on Aquapanel boards

Hi guys,

Just boarded around the shower/sink/bath with Knauf Aquapanels and wanted to check whether using 'Knauf' joint filler and joint tape to sort out the joints is necessary or whether I can use cheaper stuff for the same job with no problems? Any recommendations highly appreciated.
