I have a big tub of BAL Green Star adhesive. I bought about 15 months ago . It says it has a shelf life of 12 months . It has been kept in our living room! . Should I bin it, or use it, or use it with a few tiles and see how it sticks them?

(Similar for BAL Micromix 2 grout)

    Thanks in advance

Try it on a few tiles, somewhere not important, I guess it would ok,as it's only a few months out.
But, for a major job I wouldn't risk it.

Thanks for that. If I test it on a few tiles and its sets hard presumably its Ok or could it seem to be OK and deteriorate later so the tiles come loose?
I only bought it with the tiles as they offered a small discount if bought together. Should have known better.
At least we have bought all the tiles we think we need because Topps are always withdrawing ranges.

In that case use new adhesive, not worth the risk.

Thanks very much. I will do.
Seeing I have just bought over a grand's worth of tiles for kitchen & utility room I am now sure you are right.
