    Hi
I want to order matching skirting and architrave and I want to make sure it is finished properly where it meets at the skirting. I like the look of Ogee. Do I need to order anything extra (I've been googling and seen something about a 'block' at the bottom of the architrave)?

I'm dreading having a load of filler to cover gaps. Can we get a neat join between skirting and architrave or do I need to order something to give a nice finish?

    Many thanks
    Terry

You can put a block in if you like but it isn't needed.

As chippie said, isn't needed but really depends on what spec finish you would like to achieve, I have made up blocks in the past incorporating architrave block mouldings which can look a 'cut above the rest' if balanced properly.

I wouldn't bother with a block, fit arches first then skirting, scribe the corners in.

    Shouldn't need to fill much
