Time for a new sliding mitre saw, the old Makita has finally sprung its mortal coil, but I can't decide between these two Makita LS0815FL 216mm or the Bosch GCM8SJL 254mm, both have a laser, Makita has a led work light, not essential in opion.
Both cope with my needs, I like the Bosch, has it has a carrying handle, Makita is smaller in size which is an advantage, price wise only a few pounds difference between them.
But, which is the better one to buy?

Neither. Buy one that bevels left and right.

If it has to be a choice between the two then I would go for the Makita. I'm a big fan of Bosch tools but for saws it would be Makita every time.
