Slot in the telly

    Just got a new telly.

    Its got a slot in it which I think is for a CAM card.

    Anybody enlighten me as to what I can use it for ? Footy maybe ?

    The TV is a basic one with Freeview and nowt else.

    Yes most likely for a CAM card, to be honest I don't know if anyone is utilising them any more however.
    Top up tv used to do them and you could receive espn but they ceased end of '13.

    Looks as if once Top up Tv bit the dust that was it.

    Wonder why they continue to fit the slots in new tellys ?

    Believe it's to do with eu standards, the CAM cards are still used in other countries.

    It might be for credit card payments once the missus has gone to bed and Babecast gets good !

    Nahhh cant use the laptop for this kinda viewing

    Every time I get a "pop up", the laptop hits the floor :D
