Small wall advice

    Hiya guys after some advice please...

    Am about to start building my first ever wall,but am getting confused with how far down to dig..

    Wall size = 1ft 6in high / about 23ft long
    Soil type = clayish after a few inches,

    And advice would be great please

    Twice the width of the wall wide and 200mm deep should be plenty.

    And you'll need to hammer in pegs along length of trench, to get finished levels for the concrete.
