Isn't it time we banned Facebook and all the other mind numbing, time wasting social media? They're clearly responsible for helping terrorists, brain washing young people, wasting thousands of hour of people's time every day and not paying their share of tax.

Is Facebook really that responsible? Depends what you're calling social media.. Whats App clearly isn't social media as it's principally used for texting, phone calls and video calls. It's end to end encryption is perhaps something security services need to look at with Whats App developers. Apple need a serious look at with their attitude to helping security forces get into locked iPhones (in relation to terrorist activities) Surely it would not have done Apple any bad to have helped the FBI unlock a terrorists phone?
It all returns to what price you want to pay to have total privacy/ security on your phone/ social media , apps etc. (and to a certain extent,, what you personally have to hide from the same security forces)

Isn't it time you moved with the times you fossil.

How about we ban mobile phones while were on about it.

I don't partake in it much my self but it is clear its the way forward for promoting all sorts of subjects/businesses.

We fear change don't we harry.
How about you continue to pick up your sunday sport and take it all in and let the rest of the forward thinking world get on with it.
Love it or hate it, its here to stay.

How about war mongering governments stopping their systematic infiltration of countries, dodgy arms deals and the killing of innocents. Or, we could just ban FB...that should do it!

    Thank you numb nuts!

I use FB to keep in touch with family in France, Australia and New Zealand. So you want to deprive me of that contact? Take a running jump!

Sites like Screwfix are monitored by moderators. Ok so FB is toob ig for a few people to moderate, but they keep porn away so there is a certain amount of restriction to what you can post. Improving those rules and having them falg inappropiate content would help.

Plenty can be done before we return to the dark ages!

    Kind regards

I reported a page that did contain pornography (graphic too) Only took FB three weeks to remove it. Perhaps FB could use a few moderators off SF's site?

If you're going to create havoc by blowing up innocent children, you don't need facebook, or any other social media, you just need to be a sick, twisted person, who has no real religion, and just wish to kill people for the thrill, because you will gain nothing apart from condemnation from all civilised countries.

Nevertheless, facebook et al are making it easy for terrorists to do their evil work.

    Facebook are making it easy?????

Crumbs, I thought it was plod and the secret squirrels that were charged with the task of stopping them.

Do the Facebook anti terror team have cloaks of invisibility for uniforms cos I've never seen any of them?

  15. I think it's fair comment to say that 'arry could use FB without any risk.

  16. As much as I dislike what FB has become for many (most?) people - an addiction - it is undeniably a useful tool for organisations and individuals to use, as well as being 'social'.

It is ideal for groups like the Sea Cadets to organise activities, for example.

But, man, do I hate fish-pouts. What the hell?

It ain't FB that's the problem, it's us human bees.

    What is that all about?

Do women realise how hideous they look? I mean really. (esp the older brigade)

When did a trout pout take over from a lovely natural smile?

This phase/fad whatever ???? is beyond me.

Any women reading this spread the word amongst your female friends, POUTING LOOKS HIDEOUS.

Of course I did chip. Still took the FB team almost 3 weeks to remove it though, so I wonder just how long they'd take to remove anything related to terrorism? (there again I suppose porn doesn't kill people,,, shorten their lives, maybe? )
