spur off spur

    I know you don't take a spur off a spur but if you were to fit a fcu with 3 amp fuse right next to it would this be acceptable my thinking its the same as the spur being a 2 gang socket or what if a duel box is used dose this still mean you've spurred off a spur. more important would it pass inspection

    I have to admit to doing that a few times where there's only going to be a 3 amp fuse, (boiler, under cupboard lights etc.) Best really to feed the second spur from the output side of the first one, then it's no different to feeding six sockets off a ring spur through an fcu, and that's perfectly acceptable.

    Think there's cross-wires (pun noticed) here.

    From what you say seneca, sounds like coming off an output side of a socket to another socket.

    OP thinks (spur)socket - fcu - socket.

    Should it be, change the first spur to a fcu, then add spurs....?
