    Hi All,

First post here, as I am about to start fitting my new kitchen in the next couple of weeks. I have a question about the worktop joins for a square edge laminate worktop from B&Q.

The kitchen is a U shape, with 2 cutouts for hob and sink. Obviously there will be 2 joins, and I am just wondering whether I can just take 600mm of laminate off the front edge where the joins are, and butt them up to each other, and connect with bolts?

If that is the case, what is the best way to remove the laminate on the front edges where the joins will be?

Router. Take just over the edge thickness off. File the edging on the other top to suit the slight curve created where the cutter goes in.
