I have started using a few of their power tools and must say they seem pretty good, I've had their multi tool a few yrs and its been a great tool.Does anyone else use them or do you think they are carp??

Hand tools are fair diy quality at best and do not stand up to daily hammer

I had a fatmax tape once and I hated it, the return spring was so strong every time you retracted the tape it either cut you, gave you a blood blister or shot out of your hand like a psychotic yoyo.

I have a better one but can't get it on my laptop and can't be bothered to use the PC.

I have two Fatmax spirit levels (6ft and 4 ft) A Fatmax framing hammer, a Fatmax claw hammer and a Fatmax 15ft tape measure. As Chippie says , forget the tape measure, the spring return seems to give it a life of it's own (and yes, it's bloody dangerous) :p:p:p:p:p

Essentially FatMax tapes are like us start out sharp, then dull with age .... ;)

Yep they are really vicious when new, I had mine 3 years now and still going good. The one thing it is really good for playing out quite a way without collapsing. I quite often have to work alone and the reach of the tape without kinking is very good.

The rest of the products are a bit hit and miss, some good / some not worth the money. I couldn't find my slip joint pliers and had to go to our hosts as they were the only ones near me that had any - eye watering price, over engineered - £23. Tempted to keep them in a glass case on display

I find their hand tools good for the money.
Just got a 18 volt combo drill with two 2 ampHr batteries for £70 from Argos sale. So far seems a decent bit of kit. Puts holes in brick for plugs easy enough and perfect with a hole saw.
Will wait and see how long the batteries last before giving a 5* review.
