    Hello
Does anyone know if you can, or if it is advised to, have a step in a soil pipe?
The top section is connected to the toilet/sink upstairs, which is fine. Below this the bottom section is causing an obstruction.
So, if i cut the pipe below the existing toilet connection, put in a couple of 45 degree bends and move the bottom section across about a metre - is this acceptable?
Or would it be advised just to move the whole thing and keep it all vertical?
    Thanks

the regulations say that there should be no bends on the wetted lenght, having said that I've seen billions of situations where bends have been used below the toilet with no adverse affects, :)
