I am fitting a utility room and have to put a washing machine next to a larder unit. What's the best way to support the worktop over the washing machine? I have been thinking about cutting the larder unit decor end in half and sitting the worktop between the two halves? It's either that or brackets? Is there a better way?
If it is supported the other side of the w/m, the top is pretty much self supporting. 3 screws through from inside the larder unit - hidden fixing. Mr. HandyAndy - Really
Make sure you screw into the centre of the worktop, equal "meat" both sides of screw and drive em in straight Guessing a chipboard worktop ? I would still put something underneath to support but that's me As above, a baton, stretcher plates, furniture blocks, etc
