Looking at buyi g a table saw, only a smallnone as I don't need one that often, the blade diameter is 200mm but screwfix don't do a 200mm blade. Will a smaller blade be okay aslong as the bore size is the same?

Are you sure a 210mm won't do it? It's only an extra 5mm on height!

You might have small problems in certain circumstances with the riving knife but it's safe.

The £50 ONE from screwfix. Cheap but it will do for the occasional use

its a bit like one of the £4.99 meal and pint deals. You go into it knowings its not going to be fantastic for the money but sometimes something simple is all you need

It's only to cut down some kitchen doors so just need a quality blade and a straight cut

Lengthways? To be honest you will get a far better cut with a good circular saw and a straight edge.

The problem you will get are the cuts at the start and end. Where you have to support the door and push it through against the fence - which on these can move. The same at the end you will need someone to help support the door as it comes to the end of the cut.
