The best way to fit a kitchen sink waste.

A quick squirt of expanding foam around the waste hole. I have never had a leak from under the sink using expanding foam.

 

Because you've never been called back to fix it when it did eventually leak a few weeks later.

So am I , and a plumber! Lol

 

Maybe mix some sharp sand and cement 3-1 about half a bucket should do but keep it fairly runny.
Pour it into the waste and bed the fitting in.
Sorted - no leaks.
