1. Promoter: The competition is organised by Screwfix Direct Limited (company number 03006378) of Trade House, Mead Avenue, Houndstone Business Park, Yeovil, Somerset BA22 8RT (Screwfix).

2. Start date: 21 July 2015


3. Closing date: 13:00 7 August 2015


4. How to participate: Entry and participation is free. The prize-winner will be selected based on their video (posted on the Screwfix Facebook page) of an extending tape measure. The winner will be decided by on the length of the tape extension and for the technique, flair and agility which is deemed to be the most creative. The winner will be announced on the entry post at www.facebook.com/screwfix after the closing date and asked to contact us to arrange the delivery of their prize. The Prize will be delivered within 28 days of the winner's contact details being provided.


5. Proof of purchase. No purchase necessary. The competition is open to residents of Great Britain only and to persons aged eighteen (18) years or over.

7. Entry conditions: Employees and agents of Screwfix and their immediate family and household members are not eligible. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. Screwfix accepts no responsibility for incorrect entries. The person who posts the video will be deemed the winner (even if they are not the person in the video) – therefore, by uploading a video you confirm that you have the legal right to do so and you are authorised by the person(s) in the video to do so. The winner may be required to provide proof of identity to collect the prize.


8. Any personal data collected relating to the winner will be used solely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Screwfix's privacy policy (found at www.screwfix.com/privacy).


9. General conditions: All decisions taken by Screwfix relating to the competition are final. Screwfix does not accept responsibility for lost, interrupted or unavailable network service or other connections. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and Facebook shall not be liable for any losses whatsoever arising from this competition and/or the Prize. You are providing your information to Screwfix and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes of this promotion, unless you opt-in to receipt of future marketing communications.

10. Disputes: Where the identity of winner is disputed, the entry will be deemed to have been made by the registered Facebook fan of Screwfix at the time of entry to the prize draw.

11. Laws: The competition is governed by English law and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
