Thermal blocks

I have a recent new built kitchen and I am making and fitting my own units . The walls are comprised of concrete block/slabs of foam/ ytong block finally plasterboard dabbed in place then skimmed. My question, what type of wall fixings are needed for wall cupboards ? I intend fixing 2x1 battens to the wall ,to initially take the weight then other fixings where necessary. I haven`t come across this type of wall before and as these blocks can be cut with a wood saw they are obviously soft. Any advice will be appreciated Thanks Buck
