Its surprising how difficult it is to find a tool system that fits all. If I can work out how to get the van in to the room I am working in then that's got to be the way forward
I've been back at BBC Elstree the last couple of days and everybody uses shopping trollys to shuttle tools and paint around the many studios, Borehamwood Tesco's can't have many left.
Not forward, backwards thinking, if you reverse as fast as you can and then you will find trips to the van are much shorter. Disclaimer: Minor damage to both the van and building may ensue...
It's a shame they can't keep everything in date in the Borehamwood store. Numerous times i've dropped in and picked up milk and bread that is best before on that day. Couldn't resist a little rant! And the Wickes nearby isn't that much better, Terrible stock levels.
The studio is littered with them, you just find an unused one and its yours, the regulars have pimped theirs up with sliding under basket storage, holsters for saws and bubbles...
I really like the American / Canadian tool trailers. Which they tow behind their trucks and hold everything and give somewhere to work as well being able to park it outside Not really suite Pinewood is in a much nicer area - well apart from being in touching distance of Slough
Must be about 20 years since I was there, the site seems to have changed quite a bit since then. There used to be a great garage nearby that used to sell American cars - came close to buying a Corvette
