Has anyone used Toupret external fillers? I want to repair some cracks in sand/cement render as well as decorative elements like in the picture below. Problem is, there are so many to choose from such as Toupret Touprelit F Masonry Repair Filler Power and Toupret Fibarex. Any ideas? I don't really want to sand/cement render again as it will inevitably crack.
Toupret Murex would be my choice, it's a fine filler, it's easy to shape & you don't need formwork. Can be applied on new or renovated, painted or unpainted substrates, gypsum plaster & old painted surfaces. http://www.toupret.co.uk/uploads/UK/ft_murex_uk_a4.pdf I have no experience of Toupret Fibarex, but it contians fibres, but the reinforcement might be an advantage on some jobs. http://www.toupret.co.uk/uploads/UK/toupret_ft_fibarex_a4_uk.pdf

I rang the Toupret UK office who gave me the mobile number of their 'technical specialist' or something. He didn't seem particularly interested but managed to get some answers! He suggested Tourprelith F. He said that Murex can be used bt it has crushed marble so it is a bit hard to sand. Confused?!
Tourprelith F is a masonry filler, whereas Murex is a all substrates filler. And as you got decorative elements to fill, then Murex has a finer finish & is easier to shape, & Murex can be painted in 24hrs, compared to 3-5 days for Tourprelith F .
'He suggested Tourprelith F. He said that Murex can be used bt it has crushed marble so it is a bit hard to sand'. Confused?![/QUOTE] If the technical rep suggested or recommended Toupretlith F then accept his advice, I do agree that Murex is a nightmare to sand and maybe more suited to profile sanding using a Dremel.
Could someone recommend a render for a sandstone lintel with fine cracks - would Toupret Murex be suitable- it about 6x1 feet. And then coated witn Stormdry Max. I would be grateful for any advice given.
