   I have a GRASSLIN 24hour timer switch to connect to my 250watt towel rail. The instructions give two options : Mains Switching and Volt Free Switching. What is the difference and what way should I wire it?

   mains switching - volt free assumes whatever it's switching just needs an open/close action - say perhaps for a boilers on/off
   
   it's a bit misleading as somewhere along the route there will be a voltage
