You can if you pick up from the switched side of the security light fcu. Presumably this is on all the time, and of course if you switch it orfffff then the tv will be switched orfffffff. You cannot spur of the feed side of the fcu because this is against regulations and stuff.

    bodgy and messy.

If the FCU is a spur, I would add an UNswitched fused spur in front of it, and then use that to feed the socket and the flood light FCU. Ideally though, take either a second spur from where the original spur came from, or extend the ring.

"Feed side" is a bit misleading. I would say SUPPLY/IN and LOAD/OUT. I think JP is saying FEED, meaning SUPPLY.

Start with 3 amp and go to 5 if needed always use the lowest fuse you can get away with

    Use
Power (watts) divided by voltage (230) will give you current drawn, use suitable fuse just above the result.

Normally televisions are fused with a 3 amp BS 1362.

If the spur is feeding the socket, 13amp.
If the spur is feeding the light, 3 or 5 amp.
If the spur is feeding both, 13amp.

If you're bodging it as JP suggested, you need to decide on a suitable rating to cover both. How cra@p.
