Three powered heads and a turbine head..... Henry is about 50 years away from making anything remotely resembling this... And about another 50 years to persuade their customers to buy it.
They still make them things? Remember my parents having one in the eighties, classic sixties styling and weighed a tonn.
They work, year after year they work, they suck up dirt and they keep sucking up dirt, year after year, no maintenance, no filters, they just work. What machine do cleaners use, is it a Dyson or a Henry, here's a clue, it's not a Dyson.
I bought a few Titan vacs about 18mths a go when they were on offer. Not quite as robust as a Henry, no smiley face either but they work very well. They're good listeners too...we often have a chat ole Titan and I
After 16 years of loyal service without a pansy bag fitted (he didn't need one he said), sucking up plaster dust, sawdust and the odd drink here and there the old boy retired gracefully in his sleep, RIP Henry. Twas a sad day, £90 later, already replaced. The king is dead. Long live the king.
Just bought myself a Makita VC2012L Wet and Dry L Class Dust Extractor/vacuum cleaner for the workshop, has a decent 3.5mtr hose,7.5mtr cable, overall it's rather good.
What a great thread! This is sooooo my sort of topic... Ooookkkaaaayyyy - I see a devs ad fellow bought a Dyson DC07 a few years back? She tells me it started to become a bit tatty a couple of years back, so she sold it for £35 or summat whilst it was still doing sterling work. And she replaced it with a DC25 'ball'. Which is even more bludy awesome, man. Also, a year ago, she was given a Henry FOC (it was a test sample) so she thought GREAT, this'll be perfect for the garage. What an utter pile of carp. The large filter panel simply clogged up noticeably with the very first use, whether it was the garage floor or the car's mats. She seriously couldn't believe how dreadful it was - she'd heard of Henry's supposed reputation, so was shocked to find it clogged as easily as Hoovers of old. That also got sold... Now she's using a cast-off Dyson 'cylinder' model in t'garage. A faaar superior beast she tells me. And I agree. Of course.
Hardly a reason to call henry the best. Most builders use jcb diggers. Are they the best? Nope. Henry getting its arze kicked.... by a Dyson.
