    Hi Everyone,

We are busy with a project and there is certain rooms in the hotel that are discoloring or developing "yellow" patches. The wallpaper is custom printed on a vinyl wallpaper.

    Has anyone experienced this?

More importantly it has been suggested that the cause for this is due to the incorrect ratio of wallpaper flake adhesive to water, causing the wallpaper to discolor in areas????

Never in my 15 years have a heard this, is there anyone from past experiences see od heard of this anomaly?

    Thanks Dean

Doesn't make sense as it is mixed and a batch would span mulitple strips of paper. Even if it is not mixed properly why would it become yellow ?
It would seem more likely that there is something on or coming through the wall behind- ie damp

Are the walls affected internal or external.
Contact wallpaper firm, might be a faulty batch of wallpaper, if custom printed wallpaper.

Can rule out the paste, it's the wallpaper or the walls.

Not the paste, I agree with KIAB walls contaminated or fault with wallpaper, could be the dye in the paper colours affected by paste but unlikely.
