I'm having a kitchen extension built, the internal wall is to be exposed brickwork, I obviously don't won't straps running down the wall, is there another way to fix the wallplate that won't be seen inside?

    Cheers.

Thunderbolts though it into the brickwork.

The BCO might not like it though because your only connecting it to one course of bricks as opposed to many with the straps.

Not sure what the Building inspector would say but you could fix the straps on the cavity side of the internal wall before you bring up the insulation and external courses

Done it that way several times over the years, nice & neat solution, BCO was happy,as I left intenal wall exposed until he had visited & was satisified, then finish external brickwork after his visit.:)

Threaded bar with a square washer and lock nut. Drill. Hoover out. Pump with epoxy. Insert.

    Again, not exactly textbook
