Water based Undercoat and Top Coat

Discussion in 'Painters' Talk' started by 1st_petrolhead, Aug 9, 2017.

  1. About to paint the hall.

Hate solvent based paint due to the smell, drying time, cleaning up afterwards plus my girlfirend had ashma

So looking for advice as to which undercoat to buy?

Also need a top coat, is eggshell still popular and can I buy it in water based?

Last question, should I use gloss for the banister?

Try Crown FastFlow undercoat, also available in either Gloss or Satinwood as a topcoat, great drop of gear. Water based Eggshell is widely available Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell is a good one.

Crown FastFlow is very good, but what about Johnstone Aqua water based satin finish which you recommended Astra, found that better than the Crown.
