I'm looking to turf my garden but at the moment the grass is a mess and full of weeds. Does anyone have advice on what's the most cost effective weed killer for this and in between my paving stones? The grass will be turned after the weeds are gone for turfing. Cheers

  2. 'Round-up' is pretty effective (even tho' it ain't what it used to be) and has the benefit of being neutralised as soon as it hits the soil, so is safe. It acts through the leaves and kills chust about anythi...

There are some very strong glyphosate commercial quality weedkillers, like Gallup 360 which are far better than Roundup, & available on Ebay, BUT you need to treat them with respect, gloves, mask, etc& apply them with a sprayer & some weedkillers are slower working, anything from 7 days to around 28 days.
