    Hi all

Had the Gas Boiler serviced earlier & it was given the all clear.

That said I am unsure about the Cooker as in the Defects Identified box, the Engineer wrote " No FFDT Cooker Rings.

We have had the cooker for over 5 years & there was no mention of FFDT Cooker rings on previous Gas Safety Checks.

    For clarification,

The Cooker works as good as the day we bought it

I think it refers to Flame Failure Device.

From 1st January 2008 all gas cooking appliances for use in flats and multi dwelling buildings cannot be installed unless they contain Flame Failure Devices. If it doesn't have a FFD then it will be marked Not Current Standards so you are aware that if you replace the cooker you have to get one with FFD.
