Hi All, Looking from some seasoned professional advice... What should I expect to pay for labour only when fitting a new kitchen? Below is a list of jobs I need doing... My kitchen is a bit smaller than 10ft x 10ft and I'm looking for a 'U' shaped layout. Removal of current kitchen. Knocking out of built in larder. Re-wiring of electrics (I want a double socket in each corner, as well as a double socket about 3-4 foot from one corner. I currently have a double socket midway along one will, a triple socket midway along another wall and two single sockets mid way along a third wall). Re-plastering of exposed brick work lowdown in the larder (is this necessary if cabinets are going to cover this brick work? I fear that the exposed brickwork is letting out heat). Wiring of hob and oven (the oven position is being moved) to another wall. Fitting of 6 wall cabinets (one will have to hide the boiler), 8 base cabinets (including integrated dishwasher and oven), 22ft of worktop with two mitre joins arranged in a 'U' shape plus fitting of 2 shelves. Wall tiling/fixing splash-back across an approximate 5m squared area. Painting of remaining exposed walls and ceiling. Hanging of a new internal door. Fitting laminate flooring. Approximately 9 square metres. I live on the outskirts of London within the M25 area (zone 5-6 on the tube map). Thanks very much!
Geography was never my best subject but where's that anyway Devs ...... 'Purgatory' Sounds Italian maybe ? Trust you had a great time wherever
A little late to the party but This is a useful guide from Which. Worth checking out if you haven't made a decision on proceeding yet.
£3000 at say £250/day is 12 days...so ask yourself if that sounds reasonable. I'd say its in the ball park. May be less days at a higher day rate given its M25 area...10 days at £300/day...2 weeks work?
