Hi, we've been given two of these taps but not sure what sort how old they are or anything like that, they seem very heavy 1,664gms (3.6lbs) each to be wall mounted. Any info on them would be really appreciated. many thanks[/IMG]
Are you after a make and model, or chust what they are? If the latter - the easy bit - then they are shower mixers (damn, I'm good...). Does that handle move in any other direction - up and down, for instance? Or only sideways?
Thank you Devil's Advocate, it moves sideways and up and down. I think I'm asking the impossible for you to know the make and model but do you?
But it's fairly modern as it seems to use ceramic valves as opposed to ol' fashioned washers. Also I doubt it's thermostatic as there's no scale on it. (Well, plenty of scale, but no scale. If you know what I mean...) Try a surf for, ooh, Victorian shower mixer, and look at 'images' and see what you find?
God knows why he bothers, the rest of us haven't a clue, but at some point we will evolve to realising why.
When you say 'taps' , you do realise, as above, they're actually shower valves What are you planning on doing with them (may be a daft question) but ..... Anyway, if you really want to ID them, goggle 'shower doctor' and take a look at their site. They have a link where you can send in pictures and they will ID them. Incredible success rate and often same day replies Loads of help as well and spares if your planning on overhauling those taps ........ er shower valves
