What's the green corrosion resistant chemical/process?

Just curious, but in products like the green corrosion-resistant nails, what is that green coating?

Is it even a coating or are the nails green all the way through?

Is this just an aesthetic thing or is "green" better than galvanized now?

I would think nails are dunked in a large tank & coated or sprayed then drip dry or heated drying.

Funny thing the name Easyfix, same name used for rubber matting for cows.

    Yeah, screwfix brand names eh?

"Erbauer" makes me chuckle. The marketing team must have been looking for something that sort-of sounds German and buildery. But "he builds" would surely be "erbaut". "He to build" is just wrong.

I suspect the green is electrogalvanization, but that's just a wild guess.

Could be, but I only tend to think of that process for zinc coated nails.
