I am to have some white gloss wall tiles installed. I had assumed it would be best to use white grout with these. I happened to see a tv show recently in which someone mentioned that their wall tiles had been installed with a slightly darker grout and that this means it will be easier to maintain the clean look of the grout. So, with this in mind, do you think I should use white grout with these tiles or something darker? Any colour suggestions would be interesting. Thanks!
I suppose one potential issue with using a darker grout with white tiles is that unevenness on the joint widths will be more visible. Therefore greater skill on behalf of the tiler would be required.
Tile joint width shouldn't be a issue if you use a reusable tile spacer like the Uniplug Prospacer, I've had more problems with tile being a uniform size, had this with some spanish floor tiles, some were slightly smaller by a few mm. Any discrepancies can be hidden by using around edge of a room where a shower or bath might go,as bath panel can hide it...
Can always snip off a leg. You can get Tile Rite 2mm T-Spacers for brick bond, but I have never like leaving tiles spacer in,plus I find them fiddly.
