Where would be the first place to look when trying to find a heat recovery unit and extractor fans, which have been broken down.

Any tips or information would be useful

Can anyone recommend any companies or indivduals who can be called out preferable free and check the MVHRS to see if it is working correctly?

You should have Vent shrouds in your ceilings. Some will be air delivery & the others will be air extraction.

Get your head up to them & see if they are blowing or sucking.

If nothing, check to see if the Main unit is actually running. It may have a master switch somewhere in the house.

If then no joy call an electrician.

Couldnt see any vent shrouds in the ceilings. There definately isnt any hot or cold air blowing so the main cannot be running. Still looking for this master switch. Scratch my head moment....So a electrician is recommended rather than a plumber?

Would like to go up into the loft myself but there is so much junk that its quite akward to get up there along with being dark.

Time then, to clear out your loft.
Take up with you a BIG torch.

If you have NO vents in any of your ceilings, chances are you don't have MVHRS

And, what makes you think you have a heat recovery unit and extractor fans?

    Ps Electrician.
