Hi i have just bought the £19.99 garage cu 1.5mm t&e for my lighting and sockets in the shed and also some 6mm swa i was wondering if i could rub the swa off the cooker circuit which is rcd protected and also is unused as i have a gas cooker, or would i have to add a new rcd to my CU and connect the cable to that? One of my neighbours has their shed hooked up to the cooker circuit done by a "qualified" spark i just wanted to know if it is safe to do so or not

    Thanks

Hopefully your neighbour's was also a disused cooker circuit before it was hooked up to the shed. :p

Yeah it was lol think im sorted now anyway down rated the house mcb down to a 20a and done away with the rcd in the shed as the the cooker mcb is on the rcd protected side in the house and replaced the shed 32a mcb for a 20a rcbo and also run some 6mm swa all the way up there
