I have an old wooden garage needing some tlc, half of the floorboards need replaced as they damp and rotten..some joists need replaced also, I intend to make this into a man cave for myself. Roof is in good condition, what recommendations do people suggest for the floor? Also what is best to insulate walls etc any tips welcome
I probabley flatten it. But, lets have a few photo's, so we can see what problems we are dealing with. Solid insulation would be best for the walls.
lol, that's what the wife says, but as we have a baby on way, funds are limited at the moment at work just now, but will post pics later
Bit strange to have a garage with a wooden floor? Photos would be helpful, what purpose is this garage going to be used for?
It was very common some years ago to have wooden garages with wooden floors. They were sat on railway sleepers and could quite comfortably take the weight of a car.
