So, we want to lay turf on part of our garden but it is in an awkward shape with a circled patio in the middle. I've done a sketch with meausurements that u think would help work this out.

Could someone please show me how to do the maths?

    Thank you :D

About 69m2 doing a rough calculation.

Just square up the areas,is my way, plenty of online turf calculators to use.

Starting house end, & squaring up.

    1.5m x 4.5m

    12m (7.5 +4.5m) x 2.5m

    3m x 3.5m

    3m x 2.5m

    3m x 1.7m

    1.5m x 4m

I make it 60 too but adding on a factor for cutting in I'd order an extra 10% say 66

My quick working out is just over 68M2, so KIAB is closest. :):):):)

When ordering turf allow 10% for cutting waste.

When laying do not walk on the area to be laid, lay scaffold boards over turf laid and walk on them moving the board's as you go, once laid thoroughly water for a good week to stop the joints shrinking and showing.

And anything you have left, put a couple of bits of white paint on it. Put it on Ebay as "genuine centre spot grass from Wembley." Mek a fortune. :D:D:D:eek:

I don't think I seen a drawing that has more measurements you don't need and less you do. :p:p

    Area of circle = upload_2016-4-28_20-43-25.jpeg x r2 (radius x radius) Mikki.
