Which SDS? - Makita/DeWalt 2kg or Titan 5kg

    Hi folks....
I'm looking to buy an SDS in the near future... It will be for moderate work (eg, removal of plaster off walls) and would be used on an occassional basis.

    My budget will/can be £150 - £175

My guts tell me Makita - 2kg, 3 function (as I have Makita tools as a rule) or the Dewalt 2kg (which has bit more impact power than the Makita)...

But I've also seen the customer reviews of the Titan 5kg - Very Cheap, and the majority of users have been impressed with it....

Has anyone on here bought a Titan 5kg and is still using it beyond it's 2 year guarantee?

I have also seen a few remarks that the safety clutch on the Titan isn't that safe at all? True? (as I really want to keep my teeth if possible)

One of my mates bought the Titan drill, I really didn't think it would be up to much, how wrong was I it's a brilliant drill for the money, with much more power than his Bosch SDS, which I must say is a very old one, hence him buying the Titan.

The titan may be a good buy from what Phil is saying, but is a lot heavier than the others listed really depends on how long your going to be working with it.

  4. The Titan is 6.3Kg and the Bosch are 2.8kg and 4.1kg

Mines empty :(, that Titan is a heavy old girl, but it's used for more heavy type jobs, a lighter drill is used for more day to day type jobs. ;)
