The difference with a mitre saw is that the mitre saw calls 90º , 0º.

Of course I'm editing my mistakes. As I thought I ought to take all the angles shown from top to bottom, making it easier for you to comprehend.

But the angle you have shown is around 27 or 63 or 153 or 117 depending on your perspective.:rolleyes:

Blimey. You've actually sat there with a protractor and measured the angles I drew by hand just to show an example.

    You are missing the point.

To get the angle required(the question mark in my example), it's halfway between 90 and 45. 22.5 is not halfway between 90 and 45.

Tell me, does your mitre saw cut at 90º ?

Is it set at 90º when you make that cut ? Or 0º ?

When you measure an angle by hand on a skirting board, do you measure it from the 90º cut ?

No. All mitre saws are wrong. Not me.

Nope, I can work out angles in my head, it's my job, I don't own a protractor. If you have a 45 to mitre you set your saw to 22.5, it will have an ident for that very purpose. You actually drew the correct angles originally but then edited it like the boneheaded numpty you are.

I don't do fire doors, far too much like hard work, I'm from Derbyshire but moved down South years ago.
