2 months down the line: Never mind pulling the trigger. We haven't even put a bullet in the chamber yet. You'd think the 'will of the people' would carry bit more urgency really.
2 months to invoke a clause that will take another 24 months to impliment. You'd think they'd be desperate to get out really since it's so awful for us.
Did I hear a strange sound around post #3? The swaggering self-delusion is still alive and twitching. It's just turning out great, isn't it Phil? I suspect Art 50 will be invoked - as a political gesture. Once the terms have been agreed which will be nigh-on exactly what they are currently. But much posturing will be made of how 'different' our new thrashed-out relationship will be... Mind you, it is also quite possible that some terms will be tweaked in our favour, simply due to the fear of the damage that could be done if Britain were to leave in any significant capacity. A case of self-preservation by the EU. The EU would effectively be blackmailed into some compromises.
We're doing just fine. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business...se-no-sign-of-economic-woe-after-the-referen/
Reckon the remainers are rather hoping it never happens. Looking round Europe the EU are really bricking themselves. When it finally does happen, don't be surprised when the EU finally collapses (bound to without UK money pouring into the EU coffers)
The conditions necessary for triggering article 50 will never be met for one reason or another, this is going to be kicked into grass so long a combine harvester would choke on it.
It's trading, it's laws, it's boundries, it's standards. 40 years of work and only 2 years to backtrack. There isn't the will, experience, manpower or money to do the job.
I don't agree, it will be implemented when we're ready and deals are in place. You wouldn't hand in a resignation because you fancied another job without having one already lined up.
They still have to abide by certain rules themselves. Fair trading and fair people. That's what the EU stands for apparently(even outside membership), eh DA? Mr. HandyAndy - Really
