    Hello

    I own a Renault trafic 2.5 140dci 2006

    It has the quickshift box

Started her up today and the preheat/ electrical fault light stayed on
I also was not able to select automatic mode I could drive the van in manual mode fine

Took the van to my mechanic he managed to bleed the clutch via his laptop and I could now drive selecting auto mode as normal
Parked up and started her up again and couldn't select auto mode again

    Any help appreciated

Might have a leak somewhere allowing air to get into sysyem.

Know a few peeps who had problems with that gearbox, manual everytime for me.
There is appparantly manual gearbox conversion kit available,Renault own van centre should be able to sort it.

    Thanks

Renault want £90 + vat per hour to check

My local mechanic has checked his laptop no faults stored

I found another post some one with the same problems as me same gearbox
His fault was glow plugs apparently the semi auto box went into default mode as it detected an electrical fault which forced the gearbox to operate in manual only

    My glow plugs are fine

I do miss my old ****** spanners and hammer and I was fixed

    Thanks

It's all too technical for me now with all these sealed black boxes:(,electronic gearboxes, etc, so much to go wrong, in old days it was easy repairing vans, cars, etc.

    I carried out two tests

    Test one
checked for battery voltage on glow plugs

Test two checked resistance all 1.4

    Is there any other tests

Sounds ok.(If 1.4 is stated resistance!)

Just thought I would update the thread

Two faulty glow plugs were the problem

Apparently they caused a electricial fault which caused the clutch position sensor fault preventing the automatic side working

    Thanks
