Morning all. I am building a timber workshop and want to wrap a breathable membrane around the outside before applying batterns and the cladding. all the breathable membranes I have found state for use with roofs.... I assume there is no reason why these can't also be used for timber walls? such as this one on screwfix website http://www.screwfix.com/p/cromar-ve...ble-roofing-membrane-dark-grey-1m-x-25m/1349p
Can't see anything in Cromar specs for use with walls, only walls. if you use start from the bottom & allow a 150mm overlap. You can get breather membranes, that are vapour permeable membrane mainly for timber frame wall applications, or combined type for wall & roof. https://www.insulationsuperstore.co...5m-roll.html?gclid=CPDwsciJ-M8CFUQz0wodTjAOZw https://www.insulationsuperstore.co...-breathable-felt-underlay-50m-x-15m-roll.html
Also my prefer choice, did my last workshop in Tyvek Housewrap, got rolls of it free from a site skip. Can't on our host site Wiggy, search is throwing up everything else except what I want.
Also the only site I have found it on is for a 100meter roll. I only need 50. can you recommend an alternative?
In a rush, running late, will post something later. Can get good bargains on Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DuPont-Ty...011569?hash=item360bab5431:g:~tQAAOSwA3dYDn4l
I’m looking for an alternative to Tyvek as struggling to source the 25m I’m gonna need for my man cave build. Will the A1 protect definitely be ok?
