So HA is trying to pretend he was right even though he has said he was wrong, which coming from a man who says he is never wrong is about right. We had a bloke like that at work bui he got fired, every time he made a mistake, which we all do, he spent more time trying to pass the buck than sorting out the problem.
The one thing that I've learned over these 'nine' pages, is to always have a bag of popcorn in the cupboard.
Only, DA could write a single post that covered more than nine pages! You mean the 'Brexit' thread. That one will never be beaten. 200 and sumat, I think.
Mr I'm never wrong is still conspicuous by his absence, it's almost like he's embarrassed for spouting off for 8 pages and then realising he didn't know what he was talking about.
Yes he has disappeared with his tiny tail between his legs and his shrivelled scrotum in his hands. Why do you do it Handy? Why do you repeatedly get into arguments when you don't know what you are talking about? Why do you escalate the argument by throwing insults? Why oh why do you insist on being my *****? Do you like being dominated? What is your problem?
Post #76 Tell where that says that I admitted I was wrong. It doesn't and it won't. And one reason I don't reply as often as you do, is because I am not stalking you as you are me. You ain't on my follow list like I am on yours. Stalker.
You didn't say you were wrong but your post did and your absence from this post means you know you are wrong. I don't even know what a follow list is so you aren't on mine. Do you want to explain how you were right knowing what you now know, it could be fun?
Watching Handy wriggle when he knows he's wrong but wont admit it is one of my favourite things. In my marriage I just admit I'm wrong from the beginning even if I'm not, it's easier that way.
Make your mind up fool. Fitting, that you are as thick as two short planks! That post showed you in child-friendly pictures that a different countersunk screw might fit a countersunk hole when another screw wouldn't. tatsp
But as you now know all holes are drilled for screw 2, You do remember that don't you, I talked you through it a while back. I can type more slowly if you can't keep up.
Show me all the manufacturers that state that their holes are drilled for single-countersunk screws. They don't. Where/how would the beginner know that he has gotten hold of some double-countersunk screws and find they don't fit? They don't. What advice should we give in that case? And don't prat about. Tell him to get a different screw with a different countersink head. End of. It works. So I am not wrong. You are. End of. Mr. HandyAndy - Really
'End of' Can't see it myself Neither of you can resist the bait Plenty of mileage still remaining and a fascinating subject indeed
The manufacturers don't need to say it, it's a European standard. The beginner would see double countersink written on the box as you aren't going to make a special product, presumably at a premium price, and not advertise it. This also isn't what happened in these circumstances. The advice is throw away the rubbish screws as supplied and buy the correct ones, I have stated this many times. You didn't even know that all standard countersinks in Europe are drilled to the same angle and have been blustering ever since. Are you still arguing that Philips head screws are a different angle?
Special product. double-countersunk? European standard(normal) angle? Do me a favour(anyone else too), Go to Screwfix homepage, search for wood screws, choose pozi. Then come back and tell me the type of the first 20 listings for screws(I didn't need to look at page 2). Just do it, then try to tell me what is normal. What would tell the novice it was not the right screw? Mr. HandyAndy - Really
