It was a dual countersink screw which is for use into wood not hardware. I had no alternative and it didn't matter. You recommended using one or a bugle headed screw as the best choice without asking what he was using already. You told the OP to use the wrong screw and you are unable to acknowledge your mistake, what a pitiful excuse for a man you are, too screwed up and insecure to hold your hands up and say "Sorry, I cocked up there."
Must be 10 times now I told you I asked what he was using, AND I quoted my own text to show you, THICKO. Ug ugug ug ugg ug!
#8 you advised philips without asking what he was using. #16 you asked what he was using and then advised on using a double countersink or a bugle or drilling the hole out without waiting for an answer. You do realise we can all read what you post don't you, when you lie rather than admit you made a mistake we can all see it. You can't count up to ten reliably either and I don't think your predictive text is working, well it's either that or something sticky and salty is jamming your keyboard, have you been looking at mucky videos again? That could explain your stupidity and lack of vision.
Look dckhead, I said 'IF'. Small word that even you don't seem to understand. IF you are using 'A' and it don't fit, use 'B' Simple. Too fkin simple for you though. Ug ug ug ug. ooo oo oo oo ah ah ah.
You did say "if", you said "if" they are countersunk which they will be, why would a manufacturer supply specialist wood screws or plasterboard screws with a hinge, than try double countersunk or bugle head. This advice is obviously wrong but you wont admit it for reasons of your own emotional instability or gross stupidity. I see you've managed to get a couple more keys working, has cbbc gone off air?
They supplied the cheapest screw they could find which wouldn't be a double countersunk or a bugle head, they often don't have a thread or a recess either but yet you still said that was the best screw to use. Handy, you are so far out of your depth that you're floundering like a dachshund in a lake with a block tied to it's tackle.
Well oP managed to screw them in so they had thread and recess. Stop inventing excuses. Still the screw didn't fit! And how would YOU know it wasn't a double-countersunk? You talk complete bulshit because you know you are wrong and don't have an answer. chippie don't have an answer...
They may have had a thread and recess but they didn't fit. The solution was to buy the right screw, you recommended buying the wrong screw. You can't deny this, you posted this, I can repost it, you can try and change the subject or insult me or bluster or lie but it all comes down to you giving bad advice and when you were pulled on it instead of holding your hands up you went full on Trump in denial mode. This doesn't make you right it just makes people wonder how small your penis/hands are.
One last time chippie. What(if not the supplied screw) would have been the 'right' screw? You don't know what was wrong with the supplied screw. I offered alternatives.
Fairly ungrammatical there HA but what was wrong with the supplied screw was they were wrong, what was wrong with your solutions was there they were also all wrong. Do you know the saying that two wrongs don't make a right? Well neither do four wrongs. This isn't hard but neither is admitting you made an unimportant mistake. All it takes is a pair of working testicles and the ability to use them.
In what way were they wrong? 'They were wrong' is not a reason without saying 'how' they were wrong. You don't have an answer. chippie ain't got an answer. Come on mr expert, cough. You can't, you don't. You are a fraud. And very, very boring.
They were wrong because they didn't do the job they were supposed to do, ie sit inside the countersunk hole and not protrude so the door could shut without binding. It is common after asking a question to wait for an answer before saying you haven't been answered, 6 mins isn't long on a forum especially when I've had to pick you up as a liar on a different topic. Have you thought about buggering off to DIY Donuts with the rest of the have never beens?
I asked you the question about 60 posts ago. You didn't have an answer then and you still haven't given an answer. 'Because they sat proud' isn't a reason, it's a symptom of the reason. Why did they sit proud? What was wrong about the screw that made them sit proud? YOU DON'T KNOW!
I won't pretend you don't know. You DON'T know. Here you have a screw that doesn't fit (it sits proud). What is the most likely (almost definite) problem? The most likely problem is that the countersinks don't match. Common sense, except to a Neanderthal.
