There are variables, number of doors, skirting on/off, shape of room, condition of sub floor, quality of laminate flooring, house/flat, location
Always! Just tying to make the point that it's 2-3 hrs work tops...so a nice bit of 'in-fill' for some one
Cheers mate. Anyway...just a bit of fun and leg pulling! Expect to pay anywhere between 10-20 per metre. As I work in the midlands...rates are generally cheaper, but until the job is viewed and assessed, you never know what you'll find.
Just jesting a bit Wiggy...it was late If it's the sort of work someone is very aufait with then prob half a days work...but of course there are variables. As Chippie said, depends on the type of floor. Laying laminate is generally straightforward given a square room with a flat floor. OP did mention no skirting or beadings but Id never price a job until I've seen it first in the flesh.
Darn it, was going to offer you a job To be fair I don't doubt that 6m2 can be achieved in an hour. It would take me an 1 hour to get set up, intro the customer, chat testicles, have a cuppa and work out the board widths. underlay half hour flooring 2/3 hours beading + threshold 1.5 hours (******* hate beading) Lug all my gear back downstairs 0.5 hour Chat more testicles/get paid 0.5 hour. Easy days work. £20 a m2 sounds about right for this job for a one man band, round it up £85,000 +vat And if its cheapest the nastiest laminate out there that price can be doubled. If it was a 100m2 I reckon I could probably knock 25p off a metre
