I see your point but the only wasted vote I see is the labour! who used to stand up for the working man but the policy's that the Blair government implemented have ruined countless lives both here and aboard and in turn have led to there party's demise, at least both the torys and ukip may form a collation

The only safe seat that UKIP can count on is on BBC Question Time. I seems a little unfair to me that although they have no MPs, they will always be asked for their opinion rather than parties that have managed to secure seats in Westminster.

  4. Its probably because they can be relied on for a load of hot air, false posturing and glib comments that make good tv and lots of people latch onto. Saves having to think.

They are a 1 person 1 policy party, they have nothing else to offer.

Surely even their ardent supporters must be getting fed up with all the hot air and no substance that comes from them

  5. They kept the Tories in check whilst in coalition. As somebody else said, amazing how bad they were rated, but how well they did.

The core Labour policies, well, I mean the reason that the Labour party formed into a political movement in the first place. All of their causes have been implemented into law. Worker's have all the 'rights' that labour strived for, so, in a way they're as irrelevant now as UKIP are. At least on their founding principles, anyway.
Was 'the labour party' ever the socialist movement that Corby is championing?

Farage answers the question of standing or not.

2nd half of vid, but 1st half makes sense.

That gave me the biggest laugh I've had in weeks!

You really don't understand politics in Scotland at all, do you? Have you studied the majorities that most SNP MPs hold at present - and opinion polls are still consistently putting them on 48% of the overall voting intentions?

Add to that the latest Rape-Clause-Ruth's attempt at obfuscation on the cuts to benefits, and if you think the Tories will replace SNP at Holyrood, then you are indeed barking. :D

There is, among Scots, a strong, inbuilt, hatred of the Tories (ever since Thatcher) and it ain't going away - because "Now is not the time". :):)

So apparently Jeremy Corbyn is about to play the 'populist card' (no actual reference to bona fide populism implied or intended). He's apparently even going to name names as to who these powerful people may be....including Sir Phillip Green and that bloke that owns Newcastle FC.

Way to go Jeremy, way to go for the big guys, the ones that really screw over the masses. Pick on a couple of hideous opportunists that everyone already hates...

More fake populism designed to play on something legitimate whilst actually shielding the real problem from attention. :(

Get rid of all of them. Reset. Start again.

  10. How strange you mention 'policies' when clearly referring only to Iraq.

That Labour government was the best government we had in this country for many many decades.

  11. It was the same during the EU campaign - the BBC were actually biased towards the Leavers as they felt obliged to counter any economic expert who came on to provide warnings about a Brexit with allowing a twit from Leave to shout Scaremongering! The reason it was biased is because the air time you are given should be in proportion to the amount of credible people who are supporting each side - and Leave were COMPLETELY outdone in the economics and political stakes (with even Gove saying his famous "We've had enough..."

But whenever an economic expert cam on to give their views, the BBC felt duty bound to also ask a UKIP nutjob (not an 'expert'...)to counter the point.

  12. Perhaps back in Wilson's time?!

  13. You clearly prefer the 'big guys' of Banks and Dacre?

Hmm, they really represent you and us, don't they...

(But you sure do their bidding.)

    What the literal F?
Where the heck does that come from?

So it's ok for you to rail against what you call populism and i call fake populism...but as soon as someone observes even Corbyn now using the fake populism card you have to go back to ad hominem strawmen appeals to ridicule about them being a right winger?
Even though I posted in this very thread 'get rid of the lot'?

Good ruddy grief, you're as barmy as a box of tadpoles. And your politics are way north east of my own too. Cheeky little so and so :D

um that was one of the policies I was referring to but list goes on, uncapped housing Benefit allowing private landlords to buy up housing stock and create the housing shortage today, farcical tax credit system, insane NHS spending, relaxation of gambling laws, I literally could go on and on, not sure who that government was good for but it certainly wasn't the British working class

  17. Tee-hee. Soz, didn't mean to rile you PJ :).

I did misunderstand yer post - soz, man.

I have as little faith in Corbyn as I do (insert name of pretty much anyone...)

    Yup - press 'reset'.

  18. And a nice fine balanced list you have there, to be sure to be sure.

Yep, he nearly got the health spending up to as much as our closest neighbours with that insane spending...

Do you think that if Corbyn won he would/could do.

Yep, what a complete ejet the man is.
For all those remainers out there who thought, Farage was bad, just wait and see what comes out of 'Corbys' gob in the next few weeks!
Day one done, you ain't seen nothing yet.
