From what I remember.... BA should have a + plus sign to add files. It should be as simple as click 'Make boot iso' +Add files(you find and add the iso you have of win 7, click 'Make'. Once made(and saved?) you choose 'Burn iso' Find and add and burn to DVD.
Ah, I see the '+' now... Yes, it starts by asking what type of file, and I select 'Boot'. I can;t say I've seen 'Make boot iso' as an option?
OH ****! Bludy hell - I see that option now - the second option page asks what f'n' TYPE of boot. Sh** Bo***** B****** Phew - I feel better now...
Thanks Mr Ha - and everyone. Ok, since I'm running out of blank discs (they are all +R) and I have 5 useless ones now over my desk - could you confirm, please, if the list of files I've shown in the earlier post look 'right' for this? Ta very muchly.
And the list of files look right(even though I thought you said it was an iso file). So you already have it expanded.
And I'll send you a great big kiss in return Nah - I'm gonna nail this bar steward. Er, with everyone's help... Oookkkaaayyyyyy... Fired up BurnAware and the first menu page is: from which I'm guessing I choose "Disc Images" from that first, LH list? In which case I now get: Right. Do I choose 'Burn ISO' or 'Make Boot ISO'? I think I chose 'Make Boot ISO' and it all seemed cool - except it didn't burn it on to the DVD (it didn't have a 'Burn' option) but instead gave me a file to save "Make". Which I have. What now?!
When you select 'Burn ISO' you should then have the option to click on the saved ISO you downloaded. Click on that image and continue
I need my hand held... Which of these menu options do I choose? They seem counter-whatsit; I want a 'bootable ISO', yes? That specific option ain't there. Look, I know I'm a doofus, but it chust doesn't make sense to me.
Ah, but that ain't a bootable ISO, so there I thought I had to choose make a boot disc? See? I'm not daft...
The ONE option that gives me what I want - 'Make a BOOT ISO' - doesn't then give me the option to 'Burn' it. See? That's why I'm crying...
Oh dear, you are lost! 'Burn ISO' is the one to choose as it will create a disc for you from the image you have downloaded. This image has the files contained in it to allow it to boot.
'Make a Boot Disc' is for when you dont have an image that contains bootable files. Win 7 image will have the correct files within it
