    Hi all

I have got to run a new cable to afitting. Where I will use trunking to keep cost down family member is happy.

The issue is the previous switch is sunken in into metal back box. Cable is clipped down.

I need to run another cable alongside and was thinking about using trunking but then won't look tidy as will protrude switch I have cut trunking on angle before.

Any suggestion can you get a pattress which sits onto metal back box. Or should I blank that off and go to the side of switch with new pattress and then just one cable up to fitting. What your preferred method.

At the minute cable is clipped direct to wall and into fitting

  2. You could use a skeleton box.

Drill out the brass inserts on pattress. Use long screws M3.5s to screw through the pattress and into the box behind done it many times to get round!

Buy two for when you break number one on your first attempt... ;)
