Hello guys. I am having a problem fitting 2 lengths of 18mm chipboard. It is replacing 2 lengths of 20mm chipboards. I bought some 2mm packing pieces but I think the tongue and grooves don't line up properly.
Should I just cut the tongue off ? Any information will be very much appriciated. Thanks.

    nope!
T&G is that and if any area isn't interlocked it'll be a problem or will become a problem.
Would suggest using a skill-saw and a router to adjust the tongue's, but way cheaper and quicker to find and replace for identical boards, that where removed. Try Jewsons, Travis Perkins etc

Cut the tongues off and put nogins under the join so you can fix them down.
