I have recently bought a Titan TTB598MSW 210mm Single-Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw. I unlocked the pin allowing mitre head to lift up and down. Pulled it up, but cannot descend the head back to it's original position. Stops halfway down. Am I missing something.
It as a trenching facility? Right hand side you have the button to lock head, just above you have height adjustment scre, check this.
No wrenching facility. Height adjustment screw set for normal cutting blade is 100mm above base when it stops, above anything ready for cutting.
Sorry to ask this but.... Are you using the thumb lever to retract the blade guard as you lower the head?
They don't foul anything, there's an interlock which prevents the head from lowering without the thumb lever depressed at which point the guard will retract as the head is lowered. It sounds like the guard release is caught on something.
I'm not familiar with this saw but surely you can't take the release locking pin out? Isn't it spring loaded and retained somehow?
I think we're talking at cross purposes. The pin you removed to unlock the head is the one I'm referring to.
