Guys, I have the above 8" Mitre Saw.
At the rear of the saw is an Air take off for a Vac cleaner/dust extractor.

As I already have a JVC ind' vac, I'm looking for an attachment bit/part to go into the saw so I can use my vac.
Anyone have this saw who has got an attachment pls let me know.

Pretty sure it's 35mm outlet, as my Makita dust extractor hose fits it without an adaptor.

    Had the same problem, mdiy.
I put a couple of turns of duct tape around the port on the saw then fitted a floPlast 40 mm street elbow over that. https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast...gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CMHOx_LqwNcCFcuu7QodoqsGxA
Not sure what size the hose is on the JVC vac, but a Henry hose is a perfect fit inside the male end of the elbow.

Mine is 2015 model, same as MDIY, but I think they have changed the outlet on the latest ones,(rather naff) so you can use Bosch extractor direct without an adaptor.

    I'm waiting for Black Friday to see if I can get a bargain on the Freud LP40M 019 & LP30M 019 , 64 & 48 tooth 216mm saw blades.:)

    Thanks KIAB & LB
I had already posted on Bosch forum under another post, but as yet only result was buy a Bosch Vac, or the hose at £70.

My mate has just come up with a free solution, he is going to machine a piece of ally to fit Bosch saw outlet & reduce the other end to fit my Vac.
This is the Latest type, that my saw has. Previous picture was off web site, which is the Old type.

A novel solution machining some ally, talking to peep in tool shop this afternon about it, apparantly a lot just cut off the stupid collar, but I wonder whether you could drill out the rivet?

Yes could do, but the 2nd air channel is just inside of the collar.
So maybe I'll just settle with a nice machined ally adapter.

Yeah, bought mine in 2014, I think, so has the old port I'm pleased to say.
I will get one of them Freud blades eventually, I just need to wear out the blades I've got first. There's a local saw manufacturer a couple of miles down the road from me that also provided a sharpening service which only charges 23p/tooth, so, it could take a few years, that's all.:);)

Northerners eh?, I bet you've cut half the teeth off to keep the sharpening costs down.;)

The ways of the scotsman have not yet infiltrated the defences of the North.
Rumor has it though, that there's an army of 'one' that's successfully flanked our southernmost territories and is carrying out sporadic attacks armed with miserliness whilst riding atop of a high horse.
    Be vigilant, Filly.

Seldom bother with resharpening, a 64 tooth blade cost about £20 to resharpen (30p per tooth), I just buy a new one, Freud blades last ages.

I promise I will get one when these 4 are past their best.
You're right, though. It is a bit of a hassle dropping them off and having to collect them again, i suppose, thought it was worth a go, nonetheless.

The best blades I've ever used are the Makita 'specialised' range for cordless saws. They stay razor sharp for ages.

I've just recently switched to Freud for the TS55 and so far they seem to be outlasting the Makita blades, kitchen worktops seem to be the main culprits for dulling the teeth.

Use to use the Freud LU79R006M20 blade in my Makita track saw, a great blade, had a mate in the states, who would post them to me,but hard to source in the UK.

Right guys I now have the answer to this.
My mate has made an adapter. Small piece of ally machined to fit the Bosch dust extractor end on the saw.
Then he made a taper, same as my JCB vac, that just pushes into the end.

Nice & simple, pushes into the saw attachment .

    Picture attached.

  19. I know this thread is 3 years old but its still very relevant to today. I have to say had I read this and other threads like it I would never have bought the bloody saw from Bosch.

yetanothermike, The Bosch saw is amongst the best out there.(DIY use) Pro use gor for the larger one.
Mine is still cutting extremely well, no faults.
I now have a Bosch Vac as well, so I can use both my JCB & Bosch vacs.
And, as Kiab says the Freud blades last ages, well worth paying for them.
