Can anyone recommend a device eg on screwfix that i can use to lock my wheelie bin. My neighbours keep using it to put rubbish in so i am looking for something like a lockable clamp etc

Padlock with a hasp and staple, various sizes available, riveted onto bin

Or approach ur neighbour and find out why he’s dumping in ur bin

Will need a metal reinforcing plate on inside of wheely bin, would use something like a small coach bolt with a nyloc to fix hasp.

A repair or mudguard washer will help on the plastic side.

I assume that you will have to leave it unlocked for the bin men. What's to stop your neighbour using it then?

They dont have one as there was one day they didnt bring it in from the street and i assume someone else on the street took it. For some reason they wont ask the council for another one. The council reduced the frequency of bin collections and over the new year/christmas period the neighbour had put so much stuff in MY bin that there was no room for me to put anything in it. It was only yesterday that the bin was emptied
