Response wired alarm problem

My Response wired alarm system keeps giving a “tamper” alert when the system is not armed. What coul

    Fair enough: what should I do then? I’m in the west-indies (where the alarm is installed) & will not return to the UK for 3 months. I doubt if I can source spare internal batteries here in Tobago. Could the fault be something unrelated to battery problems?

    Short the bell tamper out in the control panel or call an alarm co unfortunately.

    Just run a link from + to - on the main board?

    No, can you post a pic of the guts?, -ve to tamper return from the bell.

    I’ve taken a couple of photos from my manual.... hope they suffice!
    ****! It keeps on saying that the image has too many bytes!

    Already said that: PA6/PA8 6 zone wired intruder alarm systemby Response Alarms.

    Link between T and A [SCB]
    Leave the A wire in or both, but do not remove the A, that's supplying a -ve hold off to the bell.

    The manual does actually show a factory fitted link in that position.

    I guess that mine is a bit of a dinosaur.... it’s worked fine until recently.!

    All the cables are there, just a matter of swapping out the controls:)
